KFHKCL Honorable Life President – Mr. Wong Kim Hung passed away on 6th May 2022 in Hong Kong. Mr. Wong was the earliest Hong Kong people practicing Karate. He followed Seihan Harada and Seihan Suzuki to start Goju-Ryu Karate and became Branch Chief of Goju-Ryu Seibukan in the beginning. In the early 1970s, Mr. Wong went to Japan for advanced studied with Wado-Ryu Otsuka Soshi and Miyakawa Shihan, then introduced Wado-Ryu Karate to Hong Kong. Later, together with different style of Karate leaders to establish the Hong Kong Amateur Karate Association in Hong Kong, which further improved the development of karate in Hong Kong. Mr. Wong was committed to contributing to Karate for a lifetime. KFHKCL all members are highly appreciated his contributions into Hong Kong Karate.
